Nashville, TN — On June 24, business leaders from different companies came together at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Nashville for a special dinner hosted by Origin 63. The event was called Revenue and Retention in the Age of AI and gave guests a chance to talk about how AI is changing how businesses grow and keep their customers.
The evening was led by Sam Anderson, CEO at Origin 63, and featured guest speaker Davis Mastin from HubSpot’s AI Product Team.
During the event, people shared what they’ve been trying, what’s working, and what still feels confusing. But one thing was clear: the fear around AI is gone. Instead, leaders said they feel the need to move faster but often don’t know where to start.
Sam reminded the group that the hardest part isn’t using the tools but getting started. Davis added that companies using AI today are not behind, but ahead. Both encouraged leaders to start small and make changes over time instead of waiting for the perfect plan.
Guests were especially interested in how HubSpot’s new AI tool, Customer Agent, can help more than just support teams. Some people are now looking at ways to use it in sales and marketing, too. Another favorite idea from the night was the “3Es” of using AI: Efficiency, Enablement, and Expansion. This simple idea helped people think about how to get started in steps that make sense.
The event wasn’t about selling anything. It was about real people sharing real ideas. Everyone left with new thoughts, new questions, and a stronger understanding of how AI can help their teams right now.
